SAVAGE KOALA
Savage Koala is the project of Nic Best, a DJ and producer from KZN, South Africa. Always having had a keen interest in music he turned his attention from rock to electronic music in 2009, and started djing in 2013. Since his first gig in September 2016, he has played on festival and event line-ups all around South Africa. Savage koala started learning to produce in 2018 and his first release was on the Connextion album on 1love Records in December 2019. Minimal techno is where his heart lies, but he loves to play and produce many styles and subgenres of minimal, techno, psychedelic and progressive with rocking and psychedelic elements. His style is energetic, funky, and interesting with thumping bass lines, rhythmic percussion and popping melodies that always seem to get people moving.
