Ru de la Vega's journey as a DJ began in 1999, following his big break with the BIG BROTHER 2 Eviction Parties. Since then, he has braced many dance floors alongside some of SA's hottest DJ's and venues such as Adrenalin Cafe, Cafe Culture, Truth, Manilar Bar (CT), Sunnyside Up, Aruba Lounge (JHB), Tempos, Malabar, and many more, throughout the 24 years of being in the dance music industry . Ru de la Vega's first label signing was in 2014 with "We Scream Records" based in London, for his first single "Song For Jane". Ru has since ventured into producing his own music, his style varying from Deep/Tech House, Funky House to Techno. He is currently signed with 4  record labels, namely ThreeRecords (UK), Betrieb Records (Germany) Fragments Label (Portugal) and Sygnal Musique (South Africa), and has released over 40 tracks collectively, which can be found on Beatport, Traxsource, iTunes and other leading online music stores. He is still active in the industry, playing at some popular venues such as Nova Bar, under Deep City Sessions and a regular guest DJ at Red Line Events (formally known as Deep Mayhem). Ru has formed a House Music movement, Deep Rooted, housing Saturday afternoon/sundown sessions, in collaboration with Cannabis Central
